To Bologna, with a Special Mention in tow

Not long until we take off to the 63rd edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and we’re delighted to already have a Special Mention and other accolades under our seats.

March started with the amazing news that “Bow wow!”, by Joana Estrela, received a Special Mention at the BRAW Awards (Bologna Ragazzi Awards) in the “Comics – Early Reader” category. This (almost) silent comic was published in February 2025 and is already published in French and Korean.

We wrap up the month in a good note because 7 of our latest books made it to the “100 Outstanding Picturebooks” 2026 list. This selection is made every year by a group of picturebook specialists invited by the dPictus platform. The selected books will be on display in Bologna at their stand, including ours: “Bow wow!”, “The most boring day”, “Three big questions”, “Ghosts”, “Eyes open, eyes closed”, “Count me in!” and “Clouds overhead, sand underfoot”. What a great representation!
