Kotone Utsunomiya studied Textile Design Department at Tama Art University, graduating in 2018. Shortly after completing her studies, her artwork was used in clothing for ISSEY MIYAKE.
From 2018 to 2021, she continued her artistic development at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM), studying in the Illustration and Graphics Department under leading figures such as Juraj Horváth, who has played a central role in shaping the renowned picture book publishing house Baobab.

During this period she also collaborated twice with Svenskt Tenn, one of Sweden’s most iconic interior brands.
Following her time in Prague, she spent a year in Stockholm, where her work “Liv” was showcased during the Svenskt Tenn centenary celebrations.
