Kitty Crowther was born in Brussels in 1970, to an English father and a Swedish mother. She studied Graphic Arts at the Institut Saint-Luc, also in Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She takes her inspiration from mythology, folk tales, and all the children\u2019s books by which she has been surrounded from an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been making books for children since 1994, having illustrated over 40 books which have in turn been translated a little all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2010 she won the ALMA award, the world\u2019s most prestigious prize for children\u2019s literature.
