Ana Pessoa was born in Lisbon, in 1982.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She\u2019s an author of children’s and young adult books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011, she won Branquinho da Fonseca (Expresso\/Gulbenkian) Prize with her first book “The karate girl\u2019s red notebook”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, she was distinguished with the Maria Rosa Cola\u00e7o Literary Prize for “Here is a good place”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her books have been published in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Serbia, Chile and the Netherlands and have received several awards by institutions such as FNLIJ (Brazil), Banco del Libro (Venezuela), Fundaci\u00f3n Cuatrogatos (USA), International Youth Library (Germany), among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 marked her debut with Bernardo P. Carvalho in graphic novels, with the book “Detour”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
